More free product!!

I want to say how much I love Stampin' Up! From a demonstrator point of view they are kind, generous and give you all the support and encouragement you could need, and from a customer point of view they work hard for you, bring you the most beautiful things (at amazing prices) and give you so much for free.

But it gets even better..!!!

For the months of June and July, if you host a workshop with sales of £250 or more, you will receive an extra £20 of free products (your choice!) giving you a minimum of £45 to play with, plus a Level 1 hostess set!  See, aren't they great!

So...all you need to do is invite some people over, make a cuppa and invite me to come and share some great tips and techniques to assist you in your creativity, have a try with things before you buy, and choose free things!  What are we waiting for?!?!

If you have never been to a workshop and want to come along first, I'm hosting one at my home in Brae on Wednesday 8th June at 7pm.  Please come along and bring a friend!

You can contact me to book your place at paperworks@hotmail.co.uk

If you are interesting in hosting, please contact me at the above address and we'll sort out a date that suits!

I have a few booked in already so please don't leave it too long...!

Beautiful Little Lamps!

Well, what can I say?!  I had my last May class last night where we decorated some little cream lamps.  They were gorgeous!  Everyone came up with such different and amazing ideas, I was in awe!

We used the Big Shot (of course!) plus felt and fabrics, the Fun Flowers, Butterflies Bigz dies and Circles and Leaves Originals dies.

What do you think..?

Vicky's bunting inspired lamp (matches the bunting she made at the second class)

Michelle's beautiful lamp (matches her bunting too!)

Sue's lovely lamp (matches her cushion, using beautiful teal colours)

Aimee's lovely lamp, matches the cushion her mum made for her at last week's class, notice the hanging butterflies...

Amanda's lovely lamp (matches Aimee's cushion...)

Mhia and Lyn's gorgeous black and red lamp using the Circles die....

Our Faux Frosting technique card.  Using Cherry Cobbler card and ink, the cupcake image from the retired set Happy Day, watercolour pencils and Blender Pens, Crystal Effects and Clear embossing powder with Pink Pirouette ink.  Mix a drop of ink with a small amount of embossing powder and Crystal Effects until it forms a goop (best word to describe it!)  Add to your image...

Heat with your heat gun, cool for a second or two and repeat twice... Check out the texture (sorry a little blurry, still our old camera in use!)

My lamp...

I had such a lovely evening and was so inspired and amazed by how different they all were!

I also wanted to show you the wedding invitatons I have worked on over the last months for my littlest sister who gets married in Aug.  In the background is a Frost White Shimmer Paint image from the Always Elegant set, with Whisper White satin ribbon and an eyepin straight through.

A little album (not Stampin' Up!, one I already had) that I made for Alasdair's nan who has just gone into a Home.  We had a day out with her two years ago at Stratford Upon Avon, so this commemorates that.

 Front cover...
And a lovely thank you card from Michelle using the Because I Care hostess set, which we both love and some Whisper White satin ribbon along the back.  Michelle has just become my first Level 2 downline! How exciting!

Sorry for the mountains of photos on this post, hope you liked them!  Look forward to reading what you think!

Lovely cushions!

I thought you might like to see the beautiful cushions that my attendees made on Weds night.  We used the Leaves, Fun Flowers and Butterflies dies and the amazing Big Shot!  Some used paper backed fusible web on their fabrics and bonded it to a plain backing material to strengthen it, others layered theirs with felt.

Come and have a look...

Sue's cushion...

Kim's cushion...

Fiona's cushion...

Amanda's cushion...

Jessica's cushion...

Lyn's cushion

Freda's cushion...

All so different and so gorgeous!  I was so impressed and inspired!  I'm having a catch up classes for all four weeks but have four people booked onto the cushion catch up already! If you would like to join them please let me know so that I can get the cushions here in time (date and time to be confirmed...)

Next week is a beautiful little cream lamp.  I still have three spaces left so please shout soon if you would like to come... paperworks@hotmail.co.uk

Bunting and Cushion Classes

I've been wanting to blog all week and the time has just been eaten up, but at last I can post the photos of the beautiful bunting my class attendees made last Wednesdays and give you a little peek of tomorrow's class...

Now I have a confession to make.  I have been so enraptured with my Big Shot, I have been looking to make use of it in all my crafting, so turned to it when I wanted to make some pretty bunting for my craft space.  So I hunted and hunted until I found a Sizzix bunting die and made this...

And on Wednesday night, my class attendees made these (very sorry for poor lighting, camera is still broken..)

Vicky's bunting...

Carrie-Ann's close up (please excuse ironing board cover in the background!)

 Vicky's close up...

Carrie Ann's close up... (Can't rotate photo, don't know why?)

Sorry to Michelle who also made a beautiful bunting but I haven't got in on camera!

And a sneak peek of this week's class...

I used the Butterflies and Fun Flowers dies for my decorations and some Very Vanilla taffeta ribbon and Twill Tape.  If you're free come along and make one for yourself of your own chosen design.
