Playful Pieces, Baby Blossoms,Bird on a Branch and watercolouring!

I had a workshop at Michelle's on Thursday night and it was great!  We had such a lovely evening and I got to meet a load of new people (which is exactly why I became a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator) and found the whole evening so encouraging and relaxing.

Michelle had some things that she really loved that she wanted me to demo.  These were Playful Pieces (the Level 3 hostess set), Baby Blossoms, the Bird on a Branch punch and the watercolouring technique.  I was so thankful for these suggestions as I have never even tried out my Playful Pieces set yet and the Bird on a Branch I've looked at once so it was a great challenge.

Playful Pieces: I can't show you what I did on the night as I gave it to Michelle but it was a Cherry Cobbler Scallop envelope, with a satin white ribbon, a parcel stamped in Pink Pirouette and finished with an Early Espresso bow.  I then took two Tiny Tags stamps and stamped Whisper White on Cherry Cobbler and vice versa, pricked them with the Paper Piercing tool, tied them with Linen thread and attached them to the parcel with a glue dot and then popped the parcel onto the front of the Scallop Envelope.

Very simple cupcake card with Crystal Effects topping, sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds whilst still wet! The cupcake topping is a Playful Pieces image and the bottom was an image stamped on the back of Neutrals DSP, cut out and crimped.  I stamped the greeting from the Clearly for You set too high, as I would usually put it a little further down...you learn!

Street party scene...may be seeing a few of these shortly! (I deliberately didn't use my Stamp a Ma Jig but went for the abstract arty approach, sorry for anyone who struggles with this as it isn't straight!)

My Bird on a Branch example using the Baby Blossoms on the bird and wing. The greeting is from the new Mini Level 2 Hostess set.

And this was my watercolouring example.  The night's demo was Baby Blossoms and Bird on a Branch which I gave to Michelle.  This example used the Four Frames and Clearly for You set, plus some matching Baja Breeze ribbon, ink and card.  I love watercolouring, it looks artistic, accomplished and elegant all with the swish of a brush!

Recipe: Four Frames and Clearly for You sets, Baja Breeze cardstock, seam binding ribbon and ink, Early Espresso ink, Watercolour pencils, Blender Pens, Big Shot, Polka Dot embossing folder, Crystal Effects, Basic Pearls, Crumb Cake cardstock, Decorative Label punch, Paper Trimmer (cutting and scoring blades).

If you would like to purchase the Bird on a Branch punch, or host your own workshop so you can get the Playful Pieces Hostess Set, please contact me at paperworks@hotmail.co.uk or on 01806 522482
